R. J. Mikelionis received his M.D. degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine.  He served in the U.S. Navy as Lieutenant, in time of war aboard Destroyer Squadron 9. He has lived and traveled widely across all continents except Antartica, so his stories settings and actions come with an air of authenticity, drawn largely from his own experiences. He is also an avid reader of all genres: including fiction, non fiction, science, and history.
